If your password does not work
First of all, we ALWAYS check if the password is
working before sending it to our subscribers. So, if something does
not seem to work, it is NOT a major fault and is definitely
correctable.
1. Make sure you try to
access the correct catalog
Every catalog requires its own password. Please make
sure the number of the catalog (will be displayed on the top of the
gray box with the password request, for example
"Catalog123") is matching the number of the catalog you
are trying to access.
2. Make sure there is no
misspellings
To avoid possible misspellings, copy and paste the user name and
password in the appropriate fields.
To copy the word, you need to highlight it with the
cursor of the mouse, and then use combination of the keys Ctrl+C
(for copying) and Ctrl+V (for pasting) - press BOTH buttons at the
same time.
3. Make sure there are
no empty spaces before or after the user name or password
Use the "backspace" button to make certain there are no empty spaces.
4. Make sure you only
use lower case letters
Check if your "Caps Lock" key is off, and
do not start words with upper case.
5. If all the above failed,
you need to clear the Internet cache (your browser's "history")
Some browsers try to remember the pages you have
visited, and deliver the same page when it is requested again to
save access time.
So, if something was wrong when you tried to access
the catalog first time, the browser will deliver you again the page
with the warning. To prevent the browser from doing so, you need to
clear the Internet cache.
To clear the "history" in Internet
Explorer:

go to "Tools" menu on the top bar of
your browser
-
go to "Internet options"
-
on the page "General" there is the
section "History" (closer to the bottom)
-
click on the button "Clear history"
After you have cleared your browser's history (cache), close your browser,
restart it, then try again.
6. If nothing seems to
help
If nothing of the above helps, the problem most
likely to be computer-specific. You might have run out of disk space
or memory. Restart your computer, then try to access the catalog
again.
If it still does not work, try to access the catalog
from a different computer, preferably using another dial-up service,
too.
If there is no link to the
newest catalog on the access page
If you have received the newest password but do not
see the link to the newest catalog on the access page, it means you
look at the cached page.
Some browsers try to remember the pages you have
visited, and deliver the same page when it is requested again to
save access time. Simply press "Refresh" in your browser,
and you should be able to see the link.
If it does not work, you can use a direct address to
the newest catalog (always sent to you in the message with the
password). It looks like http://www.russian-women-catalog.com/XXX
where XXX is the number of the newest catalog. You can also simply
type this address in your browser's address bar.
If you have not received
your password this week
A new password is emailed to subscribers every
Tuesday, 9:00-11:00 A.M. GMT time (01:00-03:00 A.M. Central American
time).
The new issue of the catalog is published usually
30-60 minutes before the passwords are sent. So if you see that a
new issue of the catalog is already published but you have not
received the new password yet, just wait a couple of hours - your
password is probably already in transit to you.
For 3.5 years since we started the service, we have
never missed a deadline. Your password, does not matter in which
time zone you live, should arrive not later than Wednesday
morning.
Since you are our valued customer, and we really
want to keep you happy, there is no reason why we would not send you
your password. So please be assured we have emailed you your
password, as usually. But for some reason you have not received it.
This is what could have happened:
1. Your subscription has
expired
Subscription to the catalog is valid for 3 months,
and is not renewed automatically, i.e. we will not bill you for the
next period and continue sending passwords: after 3 months, your
subscription will be terminated. Usually you will receive a message
from us that informs you about it.
If you subscribed 3 months ago, this is what
happened. But don't worry, renewing is easy: just go to Catalog
Renewal, and you will receive your new password within 48 hours.
2. If this is your first
password, there is a possibility that you mistyped your email
address
It happens from time to time that people subscribe
and supply incorrect email address. Then we simply cannot send you
your password, because our emails are coming back. Please contact admin@russian-women-catalog.com
and include your full name and the date of subscription.
3. Your email account is
over the quota
Every week a few messages with passwords that we
send return undelivered because the email account exceeded its
provided storage space, and all new letters are rejected by the
service provider. Please always "delete" old messages from
your email account, otherwise you might be loosing a lot of other
mail too. Sometimes messages that are stored in the "Deleted
items" folder may be still stored in your account, then you
need to empty "Deleted items" folder.
4. You cannot receive
email from us
Most email providers try to prevent mass mailings
from reaching their customers' mail boxes. Most likely, your provider
is doing the same.
So if you have not received an email with the
password, it might be that your service provider thinks our emails
are "spam". If this is the case, you might be loosing a
lot of other mail, too - and not only the unwanted mail. Hotmail and
MSN are known for that.
If our email to you simply disappeared (without you
or us knowing that), you might consider using another email account
for receiving the passwords.

and we will help you to sort it out. Do not forget to send your
email from the address that is on the mailing list as this is your
ID (if your email account suddenly became unavailable, please give
us your full name and the former email address).
If you lost your password
If you accidentally deleted email with the password,
or something happened with the computer you were storing it on,
please send us email from to:
admin@russian-women-catalog.com.
Please send it from the email address that is on the mailing list
(if your email account suddenly became unavailable, please give us
your full name and the former email address).
If pictures on the page with the
catalog do not load
Sometimes it may happen that pictures on the page
with the catalog are not displayed at all, or some of the pictures are not
displayed. Usually it is the problem with your Internet connection
which is too slow at the moment, or the traffic on our site is too
high, or you might be running out of memory or disk space.
Try one of the following:
-
"Refresh" the page a few times, until
all pictures are displayed.
-
Right click on the missing picture and select the
option "Show picture".
-
Access the website later, when the traffic is
not that high.
-
Restart your computer - you might be running out
of memory.
-
If the pictures still do not show up, you need
extra disk space - delete some of the old files on your
computer.
If pictures on the page with the catalog are mixed
up
Normally, every picture should be displayed in the
top left corner of the questionnaire, and all profiles should be
separated from each other by horizontal lines. If you see on the
page a few pictures together, then a few questionnaires together and
struggle to figure our which picture belongs to which questionnaire,
it means the page you are viewing is not displayed correctly.
Try to switch to another browser (if you use
Netscape, switch to Explorer, and vice versa). Alternatively, you
can right click on the picture and select the option
"Properties", which will show you the ID number of the
picture in the line "Address (URL)".
If the emails you send are
coming back undelivered
We check ALL email addresses before publishing
profiles in the catalog. So please be assured that all email addresses
have been working just a few days ago.
1. Check if you copied
the email address correctly
You should copy the email address into the address bar of your email
message (line "TO"), and ONLY email address. The words "For
Name Surname" should be inserted into the Subject line of the
message.
To copy an email address, you need to highlight it
with the cursor of the mouse, and then use combination of the keys
Ctrl+C (for copying) and Ctrl+V (for pasting) - press BOTH buttons
at the same time.
Please check that there are no spaces in the email
address itself, before and after it.
Please do not attempt to re-type email addresses: you can easily
make a mistake.
2. If there is more than
one email address
We ask women to supply us with more than one email
address in case if one email address might be not working. If there are a few
email addresses, you can insert them all into the address bar of the email
message (line
"TO"), separated by a space and
semicolon (";").
3. If you copied the email
address correctly but the message still comes back undelivered
Please review the failure notice: what is the reason
why the message was not delivered? Possible reasons:

Email account is over the quota / Quota
exceeded / Message will exceed maximum mailbox size
It means, there are too much mail in her mailbox, which exceeded
the provided storage space and her email account at the moment
cannot accept new letters. Try to send her email the next day,
or the following day, or use another channel of contacting the
woman (mail, phone, fax etc).

Connection failed / Unrouteable address
Sometimes email providers experience technical problems. Try to
send the letter later, or use another channel of contacting the
woman (mail, phone, fax etc).

Spammer go away!
Her service provider thinks you are a spammer (sender of
unsolicited email). Most likely, you have nothing to do with the
spam, so it is just a software bug. Use a different email
address to send the letter.

Sender (command) rejected / administrative
prohibition / SMTP error
For some reasons her service provider does not want to accept
mail from your account. Use another email address, or if the problem
persists - another
computer, or contact the woman through a
different channel (mail, phone, fax etc).

Address does not exist / User not found / No
such user / User's account removed
The email account has been closed either by the person who
opened it, or, most likely, by her service provider. Free
service providers (Hotmail, MSN, Mail.ru etc) routinely remove old accounts that people do not use. It
happens even with the people who check their email regularly, or
it can be a software bug. In this case, use an alternative email
address (if provided) or contact the woman through a different
channel (mail, phone, fax etc). Please also inform us about
the cases when an email account is no longer active, so we can remove it from our
database.
In any case, it is a good
idea to send her a letter by air mail - very
few men care to send a "real" letter to a woman and by
sending a "hard" letter you will separate yourself from
all others.
It is not true that letters in Russia always get
stolen - we send each woman a confirmation of publication of her
data in our catalog by air mail, and our letters always arrive OK.
Send your letter by courier (FedEx, DHL, UPS etc), and
you will know for sure that it was received by the recipient. Please
do not forget to provide a return envelope with your address (so she
does not make a mistake in the address) and an international coupon
of post response (so she can answer you free for her;
international coupons of post response are available from the postal service).
Do not forget to include your best photo, too.
Sending a "hard" letter with prepaid
response you show the woman that you are really interested in her,
and your chances of receiving a positive response increase many
times. Women seek men that are serious about getting married.
Show her that you are, and you will score high in her eyes.
